SVH is a great hospital with caring doctors. My wife, Erica, talked to you while we were in the NICU with our daughter. Amaya looks so much like our baby Allie, and looking at her pictures brings back great memories. It is amazing how our little babies can touch so many people. Hang in there and always trust the Lord. He brought Amaya to you because he knew that you would give her all the love and care that she needed. In Christ, Scott & Erica I just wanted you to know that you are in our prayers. While I was looking at the photos Timmy was lying on the bed. He immediately said "love her". I asked him "do you love the baby?" and he said "love baby". He does not talk alot, but he says things that suprise us. We will keep Amaya Faith in our prayers. We pray every night for our HPE family. Give her hugs and kisses from Timmy. I am a grandmother of 7 beautiful children. 3 of the seven have a genetic disorder HSAN. We too thank God daily for the gift of all seven of the children. Amaya is so blessed to have been born to two beautiful christian parents - God is working constantly. Hold her, sing to here and just be there loving every minute you have together. I am passing your site onto the rest of our family. We will all be holding all of you up in prayer and checking in on you too. My husband was standing behind me when I opened the page with her photos, and he immediately said, "She reminds me so much of Sam", our little boy with HPE. I pray that the renal ultrasound and the digestive system will all reveal possibilities for feeding. I so hope that Amaya Faith will experience the joy of going home with her parents where she can listen to lullabies rather than the hum of medical equipment, and she can know the security and warmth of home. I showed Ryland his new friend. It's funny because he looked at the pictures real closely. I've been thinking of you guys no-stop since yesterday. I am praying that she will be able to eat soon and if not, that the feeding tube will big a big help. I was surprised at the pictures, she looks so much bigger than 4 lbs. Looking at her pictures remindes so much of when Ryland was born, he never had the cleft lip and palatte but they look alike in other ways. Hope to hear more about Amaya soon. Take care.
